Boudoir January/February Session
Ginny and I had soooo much fun this past weekend doing everyone’s Boudoir sessions! It was a great success! We look forward to building Rocket Trees' Boudoir clientele and will begin offering sessions once a quarter. Our next session will be in March - 24, 28, 29. We have decided to include hair and make up stylists for each session package. I will post some of the girls' pictures in separate posts.

Long Overdue
I can’t sleep. I am up so late these days. I come into my office in the morning and find myself still sitting here at 3am. What can I say; I am a true night owl. I feel like I get my best work accomplished when the apartment/office is quiet and its dark outside.
Tonight I worked on finishing up Kirsten and Brad’s wedding presentation and also some new marketing ideas. I do all of my own branding in Adobe Illustrator and I love it! I enjoy graphic design almost as much as I do photography. I am addicted to re-doing my forms and website. Although, I guess right now my website is in need of some new work. I love the stuff that’s up there now, but it just seems old to me and could probably use some refreshing. There were just so many awesome new pics year. It’s going to take me a while to sift through all of them.
Matt Pine called me today, we chatted for a bit. It is always nice to talk to him and catch up on the wedding vendor world…..
Annie is asleep in her little saucer bed. About 3 hours ago I put it and her on top of my desk. Every 15m or so she gives me a look like “please play with me”….sad. Drew took Maki up to school this week and the dogs have been bored out of their minds. I have learned my lesson not to separate them again.
I also talked to Doug today for a bit. The last time I worked with him was on Nov. 22nd (Kyndra and Nick’s Wedding). It was good to catch up. He gave me some heck for not writing anything new on my blog. I decided he was right……
Mostly, my little team and I have been busy getting the last few weddings of the year out the door. And like everyone else, I’ve been getting ready for Christmas too. Drew and I are going to road trip it to Philly again (where my mom lives) sometime around the 20th. I love this time of year. I get to relax and visit with all my friends that come back home to Cincy for the holidays.
House hunting is still going……..although I think I have a promising lead in Kenwood, cross your fingers for me and I’ll keep ya posted!

Allison and Andy
Date: September 6, 2008
Photographers: Rachel and Kerri
Rachel:
Allison and Andy got married at Walden Ponds Golf Club. I had never been here before……and HOLY CRAP!, it was sooooo incredibly beautiful. The room where Allison got ready (actually the bathroom if you can believe it) was my favorite spot on the grounds. I couldn’t ask for better light. The room was all white and very classic looking. It had a huge old antique looking window with chipping paint (sounds weird……but it looked so cool and really added to the charm). Kerri and I don’t get to work together much anymore because she is heading up her own weddings as lead for Rocket Tree these days, but I forget how well we work together; our ideas flow like water and we both get so excited over every little thing. We are ecstatic with the way these pictures turned out……..I am already working on the sample album for the studio. Allison informed me that she stalks my blog……(hi Allison!) so this post is long over due!!

Ana and Matt

Wedding: Ana and Matt
Date: September 20, 2008
Photographers: Rachel and Doug
Rachel:
Doug and I traveled to Columbus, Ohio for this wedding. It was fun to get out of Cincy and go some place new. Not to mention that this was a Greek Orthodox wedding, I don’t do too many of these, but I really enjoy the Greek ceremony so I was extra pumped. First of all, not only is Ana gorgeous, but she is soooo organized and had a million fun details for me to photograph! She kept us very busy…haha. Most memorable is probably when we photographed Matt opening his wedding day present from Ana (her boudoir photo book). The smile on his face was priceless and we got such a kick out of photographing his reaction. After the ceremony we were scheduled to hit a few places around Cbus, and unfortunately the Bus that was supposed to pick up the bridal party ended up having a bit of automotive trouble, so Ana, her big dress, Matt, and two lovely bridesmaids piled into my Honda Element and the rest of the bridal party jumped in the back of a pick up truck. The pictures speak volumes……the day was a blast!
